I'm so blessed by all of those around me who have helped support me in my fundraising. My family in Christ has truly blessed me in this and as of today I'm 68% funded!!!!!Praise the Lord.
I still have a little bit to go and these next few weeks are important in me getting funded so please pray for me as I share about my mission trip with the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce and lastly as I get ready to prepare for my last bit of fundraising selling chocolate covered Oreo's and pretzels.

Trusting God!!!!
I lately have found that easier said then done as the countdown gets closer and closer (only 50 days left). I have been so blessed lately by him that it blows my mind. Just the other day as I was at the hospital getting x-rays on my back and the technician brings up Thailand and starts talking about it because his wife is from their. Then like two days later I'm at Clackamas Community College and I am meeting with one of the advisers and she brings up Thailand and how her grandson works for some organization working with children at risk. These experiences blow my mind and bring such peace each time this happens because I feel God reassuring me that this is what I am suppose to be doing. But still I forget sometimes to trust God because I get nervous and worried as the days get closer. I worry about airfare, fundraising and even just arriving in Thailand and just not fitting in. But I just remind myself that I have the God of the Universe on my side. A verse that keeps coming to mind is Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding". I just need to keep trusting with my whole heart because God will provide.

Support letter
My passion is working with Children! I have been involved in
numerous children ministries since I was in 5th grade. Recently I became aware
of child trafficking and this issue broke my
heart and I instantly wanted to help. I began to pray and found an organization
called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I began to look into the organization and
found out about a specialized Discipleship Training School (DTS) that they were
hosting in Thailand that was focused on children at risk. I prayed and prayed and finally applied and
was accepted into the program.
On January 2, 2013 I
fly out of Portland to Bangkok, Thailand to start this chapter in my life. The
CAR (Children At Risk) DTS is built around God’s heart for children who are at
risk. These are children who lack education and health resources, those who are
poor and underprivileged, the orphan, street kids, those trafficked from their
home nations, and really any child who does not know the love of Father God. I
will spending three months receiving Bible training with regular times of
worship, prayer, small group discussions, one-on-one discipleship, hands-on
serving, and weekly outreach among our local communities. YWAM has teamed up
with an organization called ARK international to help provide training geared
at working with children at risk; specifically those that are at risk of
trafficking My desire is to bring Gods unending love and dignity to these
children. The next phase is where I will spend 2 ½ months using the skills and training received to
apply them in hands on ministry involving children.
Please
keep me in your prays leading up to my mission that I will get funding, and for
safe travel. Also while in Thailand that I grow
closer to God and for me to be attentive to his Spirit and every child I come
in contact with.
My total
fundraising goal is $8,000.00 including my airfare. This breaks down to around
1,300 per month while serving. I am currently at 39% funded.
